Grapes: 100% Sangiovese
The wine is initially stored unfiltered for 14-15 days in 75-hectolitre cement barrels. It is then placed in 41-hectolitre French oak barrels for 13 months. Next, it is bottled and aged for another three months.
The wine has a beautiful intense ruby colour and a bouquet of dried violets and ripe red fruits. The first sip immediately offers a sense of its integrated, balanced minerality and well-developed tannins. Its notes are no doubt carefully measured against its red fruits and cherries. This is a stylishly well-developed wine with a long and pleasant finish.
